A meeting of the Executive committee of Bihar Social Science Academy and the Department of Geography was held under the Chairmanship of Prof. Rajmani Prasad Singh in Offline and Online mode on the 11th ,July, 2026 at 3 p.m. at the Department of Geography, Patna University,Patna.
The following were the agenda of the meeting:

1. Decision regarding organising the 5th Social Science Congress with the Department of Geography, Patna University, Patna.
2. To decide the date of the Congress.
3. To decide the Convenor of the Congress.
4. To decide the theme and format of the Congress.
5. To decide the timeline for the release of the brochure, date of submission of abstract and final paper.
6. To decide the registration fee for the Congress and its sharing pattern.
7. Any other matter with the permission of the chair.

The following decisions were taken unanimously:
1.The 5th Bihar Social Science Congress will be organised in collaboration with the Department of Geography, Patna University, Patna and B.N.College, Patna University, Patna.
2. The Congress will be held at Geography Department, Patna University,Patna
3. The Congress will be organised on 5-6 December,2026 ( Saturday and Sunday)
4. The focal Theme of the Congress will be ” Bihar: Development, Disparities and Justice”.
5. The Registration fee for the Congress will be:
Non- Member : Rs. 1500+500 =2000
Member ( Faculty) : Rs.1500
Students: Rs. 1000
( Accommodation Fee extra)
6. The Brochure of the Congress will be published by 31st, July, 2026.
7. Next meeting will be held ln the last week of July ,2026.
8. Prof. Manoj Kumar Sinha, Head Department of Geography will be Convenor and Prof. Raj Kishor Prasad, Principal, B.N.College will be Co- Convenor of the 5th Bihar Social Science Congress.
The meeting ended with Thanksgiving to all participants of the meeting.
