Lecture 2 : Drug Discovery: Journey of a Molecule from Lab to Clinic. Dr. V. D. Tripathi is a professional medicinal chemist and currently working as Assistant Professor and Head Department of Chemistry Maharani Kalyani College laheriasarai, Darbhanga under the Lalit Narayan Mithila University Darbhanga Bihar. Dr. Tripathi is a poineering researcher and has contributed a lot in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug Discovery. He did his Ph.D from Central drug research institute Lucknow in area of antidiabetic drug discovery and then worked as a research at scientist Zydus Cadila Healthcare Limited Gujarat for the development of LYPAGLYN (an antidiabetic drug). Meanwhile he was awarded prestigious CEFIPRA fellowship from DST government of India and moved to University of toulouse, France. He was appointed by BPSC as an Assistant Professor in the Lalit Narayan Mithila university in 2017. He has excellent academic record with 32 publications of high Impact, 5 patents, 13 invited lectures, 25 seminars and several national and international awards. He will deliver an invited talk on topic “Drug Discovery: Journey of molecule from lab to clinic” on 19 August 2020.
