Important Notice Regarding Appointment to the post of Assistant Professor on contract
With reference to the relevant Statute and in view of the urgent requirement of recruitment, and on the basis of requisition received from the Higher Education Department, Government of Bihar, vide Letter No.-19/पी 2-01/2026-1194 Dated-03.07.2026, online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens through the HED’s Samarth Portal (URL- (https://hedbiharrec.samarth.edu.in) for contractual appointment to 3687 vacant posts of Assistant Professor in 06 subjects (English, Hindi, Economics, History, Sociology and Political Science) in different Universities of Bihar, including 211 newly constituted Rajkiya Degree Colleges in the State.
The online application portal will remain open until 13th July 2026. Subject wise, university wise and category wise vacancies, along with the terms and conditions and guidelines for filling out online application form are available on the HED’s Samarth Portal (URL-(https://hedbiharrec.samarth.edu.in).
