The 27th International Vedanta Congress organized jointly by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Central Sanskrit University (CSU) and Center for Indic Studies (CIS) was held from 3 to 5 January 2025 at the Convention Center, JNU.
On 3rd January 2025, as the Chief Guest, the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar Ji addressed the inaugural session.
Emeritus Professor Arindam Chakravarti of the University of Hawaii presented his research paper on the topic “Vedanta for Equality”.
During the three days program more than 200 research papers were presented by various philosophers, scholars and researchers from India and abroad through a total of 44 technical sessions. Apart from this, a panel discussion was also organized in which the “Future of Indian philosophy” was discussed.
In the Valedictory session on 5 January 2025, Hon’ble Member Secretary of the ICPR, New Delhi Prof. Sachchidanand Mishra and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CSU, New Delhi, Prof. Srinivas Varakhedi addressed the August gathering.
In the end of Programme, Professor Adarshapalli Nataraju ji, Director of the 27th International Vedanta Congress, Department of Philosophy, JNU, thanked everyone. The program concluded successfully with the Shanti Mantra and the National Anthem.
