National Youth day celebration at DAV PG College

The National Youth Festival in India is an annual gathering of youth with various activities including competitions. Swami Vivekananda's birthday, 12 January, is always celebrated as National Youth Day and the week starting from that day is known as National Youth Week. To commemorate this occasion, a speech competition was organized on 8th January and a painting competition on 12th January by Sehat Kendra, DAV PG College. All the participants participated enthusiastically in this. All these programs took place under the supervision of Dr. Aparna Pathak, Nodal Officer of the Health Center and Mr. Karthik Singla of Nehru Yuva Kendra. Principal of the college, Professor K. P. Goswami said that Swami Vivekananda was and is an ideal for the entire country.

On the auspicious occasion of National Youth Day, a seminar was organized under the joint aegis of J.D. Women's College NSS Unit and Sehat Kendra, the theme of which was 'Youth: Way of Success". A poster competition was also organized in which the participants were given certificates.Almost 150volunteers were part of the event. The event was organised by Dr. Heena Rani, Nodal Officer Sehat Kendra.
