ठाकुर प्रसाद महाविद्यालय, मधेपुरा के तत्वावधान में 11 जून, 2025 को दिन के 11:00 बजे से “सामाजिक विज्ञान अनुसंधान में नैतिकता और नैतिक दुविधाएँ: चुनौतियाँ और समाधान” विषय पर संवाद आयोजित किया गया है। इसके मुख्य वक्ता प्रोफेसर नमिता नीम्बालकर (मुम्बई) होंगी। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता की महती जिम्मेदारी निभाने हेतु हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा गढ़वाल विश्वविद्यालय, श्रीनगर-गढ़वाल में दर्शनशास्त्र विभाग की सेवानिवृत्त अध्यक्ष प्रो. इंदु पाण्डेय खंडूरी से अनुरोध किया गया है।
Dr. Namita Nimbalkar का संक्षिप्त परिचय : Dr. Namita Nimbalkar, is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Mumbai. She is nominated as member of Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) by Ministry of Education, Government of India. Her academic expertise lies in Gandhian Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, World Religions, and Plato’s Philosophy. Her notable work, “Gandhi’s Quest for Religion and Communal Harmony,” earned her the Best Book Award from the Bhartiya Mahila Darshanik Parishad in 2018. Dr. Namita has completed a Major Research Project sponsored by IMPRESS, ICSSR, New Delhi, titled “A Study of Belief Systems and Environmental Practices of Sahayadri Zone Tribes with Special Reference to Warlis and Dhor Kolis.” She has developed a SWAYAM MOOC course on “The Moral and Social Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi”.
Dr. Namita has successfully completed five minor research projects funded by the UGC and the University of Mumbai. She was awarded post – doctoral fellowship by Tata – Heras Foundation for her research work on ‘Culture and Travel – The Differing Perspectives of Gandhi and Tagore’.
She actively participates in academic governance as a member of the Board of Studies for Foundation Course, Philosophy, Hindu Studies in the University and autonomous colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai. She also holds the position of co-editor for the University journal “Shodhavari” and is a valued member of the editorial board for the departmental journal, and Indian Philosophy Quarterly of Department of Philosophy, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
प्रो. इंदु पाण्डेय खंडूरी का संक्षिप्त परिचय :Brief Profile
Dr. Indoo (Pandey) Khanduri, works as Professor& Head, Department of Philosophy with additional charge of Director, Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, UGC at HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar (Garhwal) Uttatakhand-246174. At present, she is also discharging the duties of Transparency Officer and Coordinator of the Library Committee of the University. She had discharged the duties of NSS program Officer, Assistant Dean Student Welfare and Assistant Examination Controller of the University.
She had her graduation from BHU, Varanasi, Post-Graduation from University of Allahabad and Ph.D. Degree from JNU, New Delhi. Having qualified NET-JRF [UGC] and acquired Ph.D., she started teaching in HNB Garhwal University in 1991. She has teaching experience of approximately 33 years.
Constantly involved in teaching and research, she has supervised 12 Ph.D. scholars, accomplished three minor research projects, Ministry of culture, Gov. of India, and one major research project [UGC] New Delhi.
She has to her credit 05 books, 42 research papers in research journals of international and national repute and 20 research papers in the edited books. She has been the member of Board of Studies and Research Degree Committee in Allahabad University, DDU Gorakhpur University, Aligarh Muslim University, Kurukshetra University, Delhi University, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar and HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar [Garhwal] Uttarakhand.Apart from, she has published several book reviews, biographical notes, and comments of the published manuscripts.
Her publication includes the issue epistemology-reflective and critical thinking, environment and ecology, scientific temper, leadership-ethical issues, gender discrimination and women empowerment, linguistic and communication skills, research methodology, value education, mental sufferings and abnormal personality, personality development and management.
She has visited South Korea, Greece and Romania for academic presentations. In addition, she has presented approximately more than 50 research papers in the national and international conferences/seminars in the field of Philosophy and Ethics and more than 100 lectures online/offline in teachers training programs organized by higher education institutions.
She is member of World Congress of Philosophy, Society for Universal Dialogue, Asian Philosophy Vongress and Indian Philosophy Congress. She is the Editor of online Research Journal ‘ Ethics, Logic and Philosophy’ and also on editorial board of “Samdarshan” Published from University of Allahabad and Gurukul Shodh Partika, of Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. In addition, she has been free-lancedcontributor in National Newspapers like Hindustan Times, Times of India, Hindustan [Hindi] and Chaitanylok [Hindi from Indore] on socio-political and educational issues.
